Objectives
Daimler software projects make high demands in terms of professionalism and technological expertise. In order to ensure that the developed software is positioned on the PAI infrastructure in compliance with the rules, a check is carried out before projects are awarded to ensure that the service provider has the required PAI expertise.
The PAI certification of one or more members of the project team is an important indicator in this respect.
Participant Group and Requirements
PAI certification is geared towards PAI architects and developers with long-standing professional experience in areas such as Java, Servlets, J2EE, EJB, n-tier architecture and patterns.
Certification is explicitly not suitable for persons with less experience in these areas.
Participation in a PAI training course is recommended for preparation purposes but does not guarantee that the certification test will be passed.
Procedure and Contents of Certification
Professional skills are tested by means of a multiple choice test. The subject of certification comprises the following topic areas, with the content requirements varying in accordance with the role (architect or developer):
- PAI general
- PAI compliance
- Directory & security architecture
- Directory & security components
- J2EE architecture
- J2EE components
- PAI operational aspects
- HBSG+B
Content questions from each topic area are asked. Following registration for certification, information resources are provided for preparation.
The subtests on all the topic areas specified must be passed for successful certification.
The language of examination is English.
